3-WAY BALL VALVE
1. Structure & Working Principle
A 3-way ball valve is a quarter-turn rotary valve equipped with a three-port ball core, used for medium switching, mixing or diverting.
Two mainstream ball structures:
L-port ball: For medium switching only. It connects two channels while cutting off the third, suitable for flow path switching.
T-port ball: Enables mixing or diverting of two media. It can simultaneously open two passages to mix fluids or split one stream into two branches.
Main components: Cast valve body (carbon steel, stainless steel, bronze), L/T drilled ball core, soft/hard sealing seats, anti-blowout valve stem, and optional manual, pneumatic or electric vale-3-way-ball.
